Disney Fantasy April 2013: Part 3

May 31, 2013 | Disney, Travel

I left off my trip report with Palo brunch on our first full day onboard the Disney Fantasy. We were stuffed, and decided to head back to the room for a glorious nap. We ended up staying in the room for most of the afternoon reading, watching movies and just lounging around. It was the best way to relax on vacation! Around 6:00 we got hungry (go figure!) and sat up by the adult pool area and had a snack. We relaxed some more then got ready for Dinner. It was formal night!

Dinner was at the fanciest restaurant on the ship, the Royal Court.

We went back to the Tube for some fun adult entertainment before calling it a night, and found this guy waiting for us in our cabin.

The next morning, we woke up in beautiful Grand Cayman.

DSC_0709

We ate the buffet breakfast, and then got in line for a tender boat to get off of the ship. We made it to land, and went to find a taxi.

DSC_0712

Funniest thing, I went to grab a driver and saw the SAME GUY that drove us back in October. Hilarious. He got a kick out of the fact that we remembered him (he prays with his passengers before they get off of the van) and he took us to the public beach.

We rented a beach chair and umbrella, and I spent my time reading while Bobby swam and snorkeled.

DSC_0728

We stayed about five hours, and I was starving. We didn’t want to pay for the expensive food on the beach so we headed back to the ship where the food was included, of course!

DSC_0730

We caught a tender boat and were back on the Fantasy in no time. The ship looks SO MASSIVE from the little tender boat.

We grabbed some food and headed back to the room. That’s when I realized we were BOTH sunburned! I forgot to reapply and Bobby must have washed his off in the water. Ug. Not a good day to burn, at the beginning of a seven night cruise. We aloed up and headed to dinner.

DSC_0751

We were in Animator’s Palate which is super cute.

Crush came and talked to us. Dddduuuuddddeeee!

DSC_0760

Dinner was delicious, and after we headed back to the tube for Magic quest. This is SO MUCH FUN. It’s an adult scavenger hunt, I always end up laughing until I cry, and I ended up having to give Bobby my bra…again.

DSC_0775

We had a blast and enjoy this game show so much. Our team won, but sadly we didn’t get a prize like I have seen on past cruises.

We were exhausted after a day in the sun, so we turned in ready to dock in Costa Maya the next day.

QOTD: When was the time you got sunburned the worst? Do you remember?

Wow! It looks like you had so much fun during your April vacation. With regards to the QOTD, I got my worst sunburned in Boracay. It was really terrible. I forgot to put on my sun protection cream.

And as for worst sunburn…when we went to Jamaica for spring break when I was 7. I was FRIED! šŸ™

My worst sunburn was my freshman year in college. My team went to Florida for spring break games and one day we went to the beach, and I forgot to reapply for the afternoon. My lower back was fried.

Love!!!!! Your dresses are gorgeous! And the food looks amazing! I forgot how gorgeous the water is there! Sorry you got sunburned. The worst sunburn I ever had was when I was in middle school and we were on vacation in the mountains. My brother and I stayed in the pool all day and my face got fried. It was so bad that I had blisters on my face! Yikes! I make sure to apply and reapply sunscreen now…and I am so white…but I don’t care lol!

I do not remember my own sunburn, but remember when Christine got horribly sunburned on a vacation to Jamaica when she was only 7. We spent the day at the pool and ocean and obviously this mother did not reapply lotion to her young skin.. Something I still regret!

lol! my worst was when I was a kid and my fam was with friends and the moms went shopping and left the kids at the pool with the dads. Let’s just say the dad’s failed.

Worst sunburn ever has to be when I was about 11 years old, I was visiting my aunt for a week during the summer and she took me fishing one day and forgot sunscreen – pretty sure I had first or second degree burns. It was not fun.

Seeing all these pics makes me want to take a Disney cruise stat!!!

Too many times to count how sunburned I was as a kid. I always burned and now my son always burns because he has fair skin. I make sure to bring ALOE with us on every trip.
Great blog Heather. Makes me want to get booked on a Disney Cruise RIGHT now…

Seems like you really had great day!! Can’t remember the last time that I got sunburned, but I don’t want to experience it again! HA HA. I’ve always wanted to have a vacation on a cruise, since you are able to visit different places. Well, someday!!! HA HA.

The worst sunburn I ever got was on the cruise on our Honeymoon. We got married in July and Honeymooned in January. I didn’t even think to bring sunscreen considering I live in Boston. The first day our excursion (a rum tasting/cooking lesson) was cancelled, so last minute we went on a sailing excursion. Needless to say I ended up purchasing the teeniest bottle of aloe they had on the ship. Our next excursion was a beach one and since we already paid I spend the majority of it in loose pants and a tank under an umbrella.
