Dove Conditioner Review and Sweepstakes

September 5, 2012 | Giveaway, health

In case you haven’t noticed, I have very long and thick hair. I am actually considering cutting it because it is getting so bad it breaks all of my ponytail holders! Not to mention, as a runner who is out in the sun and the very hot and humid temperatures of the south all the time, I struggle with frizzy rough looking hair.

Did you know that roughness and frizz are early signs of hair damage? Eeek! I didn’t know this until recently, and I also didn’t know it can be hereditary as well. (Thanks mom and dad! I kid.)

So when I was given the change to try Dove’s intensive repair conditioner, I jumped at the chance.

When I opened the bottle I immediately loved the smell. Some products are too chemically and overpowering to me but this one was great. It also lathers really really well and rinsed out very smoothly. It truly did make my hair feel very soft an smooth after, and it took about two weeks but I noticed my hair was all around more smooth (less frizzy) and easier to manage. I hope I am doing it a favor by helping to keep it healthy in the summer heat!

Would you like a chance to win a $1000 spa finder gift card? All you have to do is follow the link below and answer the question:

What is your favorite thing about your hair?

We are way to hard on ourselves and need to celebrate the things we love about ourselves and not constantly be tearing down our own bodies. My favorite thing about my hair is how the color changes with the seasons. In the winter it’s a dark brown and in the summer pieces of it are almost blonde. I think that’s fun.

Enter to win a $1,000 Spafinder gift certificate!

I have natural blond highlights that get brighter or darker, depending on how much sunlight I get. Unfortunately, it’s not much since I have a desk job :-/

I need to try this conditioner. My hair isn’t frizzy, though recent humidity does make it do strange things, but I have a lot of dry split ends that could use some extra lovin’.

Great giveaway and thanks for the review! I haven’t paid to much attention to Dove, I’m currently crazy about sulfate free products like Pro Naturals moroccan argan oil conditioner, it makes a real difference to my hair.

Allow me to de-influence you. 💁🏻‍♀️ Sometimes we Allow me to de-influence you. 💁🏻‍♀️

Sometimes we (myself included) all need a little reminder that this app shows short snippets of the entirety of someone’s day and life. No one wants to post the boring, the ugly, the sad, but it’s there.

Be careful not to compare your life with the people you see online. A lot of the things you see are inaccurate or a stretch of the truth, or just the best of the best. That’s not reality and I want to make sure no one thinks that I am ever trying to portray some perfect life that doesn’t exist. I’m a hot mess 99% of the time, and that’s ok! 😜

I sometimes am still waiting on an adult to walk into the room to tell me what to do….and then I remember I AM the adult. 🤣

When we get down to it, we are all very similar. I love you guys.

From laying out my workout clothes to packing my daughter’s basketball bag… and yes, remembering my vitamins — staying proactive just makes life run smoother.

But I realized it shouldn’t just stop with me. My dogs are part of the family too. 💛 So when I’m grabbing our wellness essentials at select Walmart stores, I make sure to pick up our NaturVet pet supplements right from the Pet Health aisle.

At home, it’s simple: I get my vitamins and supplements, and they get theirs. Staying a step ahead means taking care of all of us — two-legged and four-legged. 🐶✨
