5 Reasons to stay at Margaritaville Island Hotel Pigeon Forge

September 14, 2021 | Travel

Disclosure: We were hosted at Margaritaville Island Hotel Pigeon Forge and The Island, however, all opinions are my own.

If you have been hanging around here the past couple of years, then you know my love for Margaritaville Island Hotel Pigeon Forge. I know when planning a trip, the options can seem overwhelming, especially in a place like Pigeon Forge, so I wanted to share 5 easy to digest reasons you need to stay here on your next visit to east Tennessee!

5 Reasons to stay at Margaritaville Island Hotel Pigeon Forge:

1.) Views:

One of the great things about this hotel is that there aren’t any bad views. There are multiple room types to fit your personality type, but they are all great views, and I have stayed in them all! There are fountain view rooms that offer a fest for your eyes seeing the beautiful mountains as well as the show fountains right outside. If that’s not your style, you can have a village view that overlooks the stores and people shopping down below. Alternately, if you love peace and quiet, you can opt for a river view which looks out the back over the Little Pigeon River and the woods beyond it. So relaxing!

2.) Rooftop pool:

Do I really need to say more? I love a good rooftop pool and this one does not disappoint! They have tons of seating, some shaded, and stools to overlook the show fountains so you can grab a drink from the bar and relax. They also serve “real food” that is quite good by the way! There is also a hot tub, and towels are provided. It’s a wonderful place to spend an afternoon…or all day.

3.) Spacious rooms:

One thing I really dislike is a tiny hotel room. I don’t like to feel trapped on my vacation, but that’s not the case here! The rooms and bathrooms are quite large, with plenty of space for luggage and spreading out. There is even a closet, and a wet bar plus mini fridge and microwave. Feels like home!

4.) Location, location, location:

Did I mention that right outside your door is all the fun of dining, shopping, and rides at The Island? We can literally spend all day and never leave the hotel. It’s so nice when the night is over to just walk back to your room and not have to get into the car. Or even to stop for a quick afternoon nap or dip in the pool, then back out to play! Emma Kate loves their unlimited rides pass and literally runs from ride to ride. It’s so much fun! We also love to take a break in the rocking chairs and watch the fountains. This is vacation!

5.) Max:

I put this one in here for Emma Kate. She is obsessed with Max, the beautiful bird that hangs out in the hotel lobby to greet guests. He may even dance for you if you ask nicely. Hanging out with Max is a must do on our trips, and he is a welcome sight when checking in and saying “relax, I’m on vacation!”

If you need more reasons to visit I am happy to give them to you or answer any questions you may have. We love Margaritaville Island Hotel Pigeon Forge and the Island, and go back as often as we can!
