Orlando Sentinel Dopey Story

Good morning folks! By the time most of you read this I will be DONE with the half marathon and will only have one day left of racing. Halleluiah!

I normally don’t post on Saturdays anymore, but this is something I just had to share. I was Interviewed for a story for the Orlando Sentinel about running Dopey, then Thursday, I met with a photographer and we shot video and photos in the pouring rain for the paper.

  1. Congrats Heather! I just watched the video and read the article – great job! I would love to run a Disney race but due to the travel cost from Canada it may never happen. It just wouldn’t be fair if mommy went and left her 3 Princesses at home, so if I did go it would have to be a whole family event. I have been wanting to do the Goofy challenge (ane now the DOpey challenge) for over 10 yrs!

  2. How awesome! I am counting down the day until Tower of Terror. In a lot of ways that will be my redemption race.

Good luck tomorrow. Wishing all you Dopey’s strong legs and fast feet.

  3. Great job on the article! Good luck today 🙂 I’ve never run in costume but I absolutely would at Disney and I’ve always wanted to make the trip down there. Hopefully in the next year or two!

  4. I haven’t ever run in costume, but you make it look like fun! My longest race so far has been a half marathon, so the idea of Dopey sounds a little overwhelming for me. One day maybe.

  5. Runner Girl Eats says

I have never run in costume (other than Santa hats) but hope to one day. It looks like so much fun!

  6. Maria Olivas says

I am running Dopey also, no costume though. It is too uncomfo table and I end up throwing wveryong on the floor by the end of the race.

  7. That is so cool! Hope you’re races were all great!!

  8. SO awesome, Heather! Congrats!

  9. I was SO stupid excited to see you featured! I squealed…for realzies. I tried to leave a comment on their blog but it was being a pain in the neck and deleted my comment.

    You’re a celeb lady!
