Parading Through the Weekend

May 16, 2016 | baby, family, running, Running Skirts

Happy Monday all! We had a “cool front” come through and it made for a GORGEOUS weekend in the 70’s. Unheard of for Mississippi in May, but I’m not complaining.

On Saturday morning, I got up at 5:15 to go run 6 miles. I wasn’t exactly looking forward to it, but when I was done I was so glad I got out early ahead of the warmer weather. Also, my view did not suck.

I hurried home to pick up Bobby and Emma Kate, as we were meeting some of his workout buddies and their families for a workout at the local high school track. The kids all entertained themselves while we ran/worked out. I didn’t do all the workout with them but I did run another 1.5 miles for a total of 7.5 for the day.

This weekend was our local parade of homes, so since bobby’s mom was in town we asked if she could watch Emma Kate while we spent a couple hours looking around, I LOVE looking at new homes so I had a blast. There are some gorgeous houses out there yall!

We grabbed a bite to eat after and came home in time to put EK to bed.

Sunday morning was church, and a baby shower for our friends in our class who are due in a couple of weeks!

One day he will learn to wait until I’m ready to take the pictures…

After Emma Kate took a VERY short nap (she is killing me with the short naps!) We loaded up and looked at some more houses on the parade of homes that we didn’t get to the day before. There are some gorgeous, very expensive homes in the area. Way out of our price range but it was fun to dream!

We spent some time outside in the afternoon playing with Emma Kate’s new water table we got on sale at Sam’s. She had a blast and played for over an hour before dinner.

I love that it has an umbrella because our backyard is very sunny in the mornings.

I wish I could bottle up the awesome weather we had this weekend and bring it back in July!

QOTD: What did you do for the weekend? Is there a parade of homes where you live?

I love looking at new houses too, but there is no such thing as a “parade of homes,” at least not that I’m aware of. It sounds fun though! Gotta love dreaming too!

It was gorgeous here too both days. This is about the time of year when it does start to warm up, but we’ve had a wet spring so who knows when it’ll start getting warmer.

How fun. We have Parade of Homes here too. In fact years ago as I was getting through my Interior Design degree, I used to decorate some of the homes in them. So much fun, and yes some people I have decided have so much money, some of those homes are just so huge and beautiful!
I’ve never toured them myself for fun, I may have to try that sometime!

I really thought struggling with my skin was just I really thought struggling with my skin was just something I had to deal with as I got older or got stressed. I kept trying random products instead of actually being consistent with ingredients that made sense for my skin. 🫶🏻

Lately I’ve been using personalized skincare through Mochi Health and it’s been so much easier having products targeted to what my skin actually needs instead of just guessing every time I break out.

I started noticing little signs during my normal day. Just occasional bloating, gas, and that slightly “off” feeling. So instead of ignoring it, I listened. I slowed down, moved more consistently, and added Align Probiotic to my routine.

It’s one capsule a day and the #1 doctor-recommended probiotic brand for over 15 years‡. I started taking Align to help relieve my occasional gas, bloating, and stomach discomfort* and now I feel more comfortable moving through my day. @alignprobiotic

And now… it finally will be. 🤍

We’re not leaving Tennessee, just making a local move that puts us closer to my daughter’s school, closer to our day-to-day life, and honestly closer to the version of life I’ve been hoping for since we moved here. (Aka not so much time in the car!)

Still Knoxville. New chapter. Lots of boxes. Please pray. 🏡📦

Between dogs, snacks that never make it to a plate, and whatever is happening in my entryway on a daily basis… I needed something that could actually keep up in one go. This one’s been doing the heavy lifting so I’m not doing 12 different cleanups for the same mess.

Life doesn’t happen in neat, single-surface moments. From pet hair to crumbs to tracked-in grass, real homes have layered messes. The BISSELL PowerClean DualBrush™ is designed to handle it all in one pass without switching tools or going over the same spot twice.

Promotion: List Price $359.99, on sale for $259.99 ($100 off) from 4/5–5/30. Limited time only, don’t miss it. Link in bio to shop while the deal lasts 👀
