Awhile back, I was approached by someone from sheknows.com who was writing an article on healthy living bloggers and fearless living. One of the questions I was asked was “what makes you fearless?” Honestly, I took a day or two to mull it over, because I didn’t want to just spit out “the answer” that everyone wants, if you know what I mean.
So, now I would like to ask you. What makes you fearless as someone on a journey to healthy living. It’s not always an easy one, and everyone struggles with different parts of it. I believe everyone has a strength in this department, something that makes them fearless, gives them the strength to tackle the big issues.
I would love to hear what makes YOU fearless. Brag a little today, it’s ok!

QOTD: What makes you fearless?
Kristen Grimes says
That’s a tough one alright…because first thought is I’m most definitely NOT fearless. Am I fearless in some things? Or do I just find a way to conquer fear? And I think that second part is the more accurate of the two. Honestly, a whole lot scares the ever living daylights out of me…but sometimes I am able to look those fears in the face and say “nah…not today – today I am not going to let you beat me.” But other days I look at those fears and say “okay, you might have a point here!”
So I guess the short answer to what makes me fearless is that I’m stubborn. Tell me I can’t do something and I’ll usually say “watch me!”

What makes me fearless – is my love for the un-known in life and that I truly do not care what others think of me

Mine is similar to Kristen, I refuse to let things get the best of me. Even if at first they manage to take over and my anxiety kicks in, I tend to just push through. I also think that with my running it’s to prove someone in my life wrong. She laughed when I said I was signed up for the Princess half, and asked someone else if I really thought I would finish. So, challenge accepted. Lol. Heather, blogs like yours have really helped me overcome my anxiety to get me to 22 hours to go.

My answer is ‘nothing’! I don’t know what would make me fearless. I have a lot of worries and fears, and I can’t even imagine there being anything that would take my fears away.
And that’s alright.

Similar to you, having people supporting me, helping me get back up when I fall, and keeping things in perspective. Also, if someone I care about deeply is in need or in danger, nothing gets in my way of whatever I need to do to help them.

This is a GREAT question! I think I have to go with Kristen on this one – tell me I CAN’T do something and it’s game on! Nothing ticks me off more than someone telling me I can’t accomplish something because I’m too short, too heavy, too slow, blahblahblah. If that was the case, I wouldn’t have finished countless 5k’s, 4 half marathons, and setting myself up physically to take on a full. What was that? I can’t do WHAT??? 🙂
