Staying Healthy While Traveling (Giveaway)

April 1, 2015 | Giveaway, health

I traveled twice last month, and hopped on a plane yet again last week to head to Los Angeles to run the marathon. With so much going on, I try and do my best to stay healthy and well especially while traveling.

Here are some of my best tips that will help support your immune system so you stay well:

1.) Wash hands: You would think this one would be a given, but a lot of people only wash their hands a couple of times a day. I try to wash mine whenever I think about it, or when I am walking by the sink in the kitchen. This is a great defense for keeping germs away!

2.) Don’t touch your face: This stems off of the hand washing. If you don’t wash your hands then touch your eyes or mouth, it is an easy way for germs and viruses to get into your body. Yuck! I find myself touching my mouth or rubbing my eyes often, a habit I am trying to break!

3.) Sneeze and cough into your arm: You shouldn’t sneeze/cough into your hand, because then it is so easy to touch a door handle etc. and infect other people. I always try to sneeze into a tissue or the crook of my elbow.

4.) Get sleep: When I don’t get enough sleep and am generally run down, it seems that my immune system is lower and I am more susceptible to getting sick. I aim for 7-8 hours a night, which is pretty good with a five month old baby!

5.) Take Airborne Everyday: This is a great product that not only is a multivitamin, but helps support your immune system at the same time (no separate vitamins needed!) The gummies taste great, and are packed with all kinds of nutrients. I have started to take Airborne Everyday as part of my everyday healthy habits routine to help support my immune system. You just take two gummies a day!

I usually take my own bottle of hand soap with a pump to hotels, so that my boys are more likely to wash their hands. And hand sanitizer is a must in the travel bag.

I take hand sanitizer with me when I travel. And always wash my hands before I eat. If there’s no sink around, that’s where the sanitizer comes in.

I swear by Airborne when I travel! I take it every time before I get on a plane. My coworkers were all making fun of me, but I knew if I didn’t take it then I would surely end up sick (happens every time).

I guess this doesn’t apply to just travelling, but I always open public bathroom doors with a paper towel or my elbow, so I don’t touch it directly with my hand.

This past summer, we learned how real dog anxiety This past summer, we learned how real dog anxiety can be. (Ad)

After a really stressful week with a new sitter (who wasn’t a great fit and left her alone far too long), Dolly started coping the only way she knew how — nonstop licking. What started as “normal anxious behavior” turned into a raw wound that required a vet visit, meds, and constant care.

We changed a few things in her routine, and we also added NaturVet Daily Emotional Support Calming Supplements into her daily support. The difference has been incredible. She’s settled, sleeping better, no more licking, and truly back to her happy, goofy self.

I’m sharing this for anyone whose dog struggles with stress, separation, or big changes. You’re not overreacting. Their anxiety is real — and it deserves real support. 🤍

You can find @naturvet Daily Emotional Support Calming Supplements at select Walmart stores, and they’ve been such a gentle, helpful part of Dolly’s healing.

I was so tired of dragging around heavy, clunky ba I was so tired of dragging around heavy, clunky bags on my trips! ✈️

So I invested in the Carry-On from @hulkenbag! It’s lightweight, sleek, and glides effortlessly wherever I go. It has 4 pockets and opens from the top, so it’s very easy to grab things in flight! I’ve got room for everything I need and can fit all my devices, snacks, books, and a neck pillow seamlessly inside.

I always pair my Carry-On with the Schlep Stack because who has time to dig through a messy bag? 👜✨

Trust me, Hulken is a total game-changer!

Alabama beaches in the spring just make sense.
