Lorna Jane Fit Challenge: March Recap (Giveaway)

April 8, 2015 | blogging, fitness, Giveaway, health

Another month of the Lorna Jane fit challenge has come and gone! Now that my marathon is over, I feel like I have more time to devote to this. As we get into the home stretch, I really want to focus on some of these strengthening exercises! I have been trying to get outside every day (except the rainy ones) and do something active, and do a few sets of the recommended workouts. I don’t always get them all in, but at least I feel accomplished doing something.

Oh, and I kind of ran a marathon last month. Huge accomplishment for me!

Now that the weather is getting nicer, I have been trying to walk my dog a few times a week and I have been walking Emma Kate at the park at least once a week for three to four miles. It feels nice not having to log so many running miles and to have more freedom with my workouts!

For the “nourish” eating part of the challenge, I will admit I didn’t try any new recipes this month. However, since I know my sometimes unhealthy eating is my downfall, I plan to make that change this month. Excited to try something new!

I really want to encourage and motivate my amazing readers to be active this spring, and I feel like one of the best ways to do that is to keep a journal and calendar so you can write down all of your upcoming and completed workouts to help you keep track. So, I will be giving away a Lorna Jane 2015 diary to one of you! I know we are part way through the year already, but you can still use the rest of the months to record everything in this amazing book. It also has tips, recipes, and other motivation inside.

I am tracking my workouts in my planner which works but I don’t have as much as space I’d like it. I am planning to be active this month by riding my bike while I am training for my first ironman this fall.

The Lorna Jane 2015 Diary would be really helpful for me at the moment since I am going through a rough patch with my marriage. I am a planner and I HATE not knowing what the future holds. I am struggling to remain active and eat healthy so this could really help me!

I definitely plan on running outside, these warmer temps have been fabulous! My yoga studio has also been talking on going on a trail walk and then setting up camp for some yoga, which I would LOVE!
I’d love this journey, as I love to write things down the old fashion ways – I’ve been using various apps on my phone to track things (fit bit, mapmyrun, myfitnesspal) but would really enjoy recording it myself. =)

I hear you on the marathon training! I just got done with the same thing and am looking forward to having more freedom with my workouts as well.

I plan to be more active outdoors by taking regular walks and bike rides with my husband. This is great for us because we get both a workout and good quality time in.

We spent the evening at Mountain Mile in Pigeon Fo We spent the evening at Mountain Mile in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and it was one of those simple, sweet evenings that just felt good.

Located right in the heart of Pigeon Forge, @mountainmilepf is an open-air shopping and entertainment area with gorgeous views of the Smoky Mountains (seriously—those views 😍). It’s super family-friendly, easy to walk around, and there’s so much to do without feeling overwhelming.

We wandered through cute boutiques and shops, played yard games, and just enjoyed being outside in such a pretty setting. There are over 40 shops and restaurants here—plus thrill rides if that’s your thing (we skipped them this time, but they looked fun!).

It’s one of those places where you can go slow, let the kids run around a little, sit and relax with a coffee, or get your shopping fix—all in one spot. And the giant lawn area with yard games? Perfect for kids (or tired parents 😅).

If you’re visiting the Smokies and want something fun and low-stress that everyone can enjoy, I definitely recommend adding Mountain Mile to your list.

🎯 Free parking
📍Central location in Pigeon Forge
👟 Easy to walk + stroller friendly
🍽️ Restaurants, snacks, coffee, and more (Azul was delicious!)
🛍️ Shops from boutique to big brand
🎡 Rides + a massive lawn space for kids to play

Let me know if you’ve been or are planning to go—I’d love to hear your favorite spots there! #mountainmilepartner

Before & after… and I’m honestly still in awe Before & after… and I’m honestly still in awe of the difference this rug made. 😁

I found it at @revival and couldn’t be happier — it’s soft underfoot, doesn’t shed (huge win), and is stain-resistant, which is exactly what we need in a house with kids and pets. It also came with free shipping and easy returns, which made the whole process so simple.

Made in Turkey and beautifully crafted, it feels like the perfect mix of style and practicality — especially for a home that sees a lot of paw prints. 🐾
