Tune Belt Review and Giveaway

March 28, 2014 | fitness, Giveaway, running

A LONG time ago the gracious folks at Tune Belt sent me two belts to try, and they have been SO patient with me while I am just now getting around to writing my review/giveaway post!

Typically I really hate to run with anything in my hands, except for at runDisney races where I am constantly taking photos! But at other races, I much prefer to keep my phone in an armband or pouch of some sort. I have tried many different kinds over the years, and I really like what Tune Belt has to offer! First let’s look at on that goes around your waist:

tuen belt2

(By the way they have cases for Apple, Motorola, Samsung, Nokia, and HTC phones). I have an Apple iPhone 4s, with a lifeproof case over it. Here is where one of my FAVORITE features comes in: YOU DON’T HAVE TO TAKE YOUR PHONE OUT OF IT’S CASE FOR IT TO FIT!

That was one thing I always HATED doing with other cases, always worried I would drop my phone while it was “naked” as I took it in or out of my belt/arm band. Never fear, depending on the size of your case, there are four different sizes of pockets. A cool thing about the belt is that it also has a Velcro pocket in the back behind the case for a car key, ID, etc.

I typically don’t like things around my waist, but for someone who doesn’t like armbands or who needs the extra pocket room, this is a great sturdy belt for your phone. Also being able to look down and see my screen was great for changing my music, etc.

Adjustable to fit waist sizes up to 38”-42″ depending on how tightly the neoprene belt is stretched; Extenders are available for larger waist sizes.

tune belt3

My favorite though is the sport armband they sent me, that is adjustable and can fit snuggly on my arm, while my phone is still iit’s case.  I can just pull my arm up to see what’s on the screen, and my headphones easily attach as well. This one is adjustable and fits 9″–17″ and an Armband Extender is available for larger arm sizes. Also, the cord flap securely stores and manages earphone cords.

Not sure which size to get based on your phone? The website has a great guide to help you decide.

If I were to win, I’d like the try out the armband! I would hope it would allow me to stick my phone in with the Mophie charger on it still!

I am ALWAYS looking for accessories where I do NOT have to take my phone out of its case!

I’ve had the same problem with armbands, and not being able to fit the phone in while in the case. That’s a great feature to make it roomy enough to hold the case too!

I would like to try the armband!

Yes it the website has info on all the models it fits and there are a lot!

The armband looks pretty sweet. It’s cool to be manufacturers making cases that are custom built for a specific type of phone.

    I’d wear the belt.

Tough decision.. I would like a belt, but at the same time, I’m nervous it wouldn’t stay around my waist so I guess I would choose the armband! This looks awesome though!

I love the fact that both do not require you to take your phone out of its case. It such a pain to take my phone out of my Otterbox every time I go running.

I love that you don’t have to take your phone out of the case! I’d prefer to try out the belt, I’ve been getting annoyed with my current armband and I’m considering getting rid of it all together.

That’s the same arm belt I wear and love it! I especially love that you don’t have to take it out of its protective case to fit in the pocket!

  17. Sabrina says

    March 28, 2014 at 8:04 am

I think I would like to use the belt if I were to win. Question though… did it ride up or bounce around while you ran? I have a belt right now but it I never feel like it is secure and it very annoyingly bounces around when I have it on!

    • Heather says

      March 28, 2014 at 8:13 am

I wore it really low on my hips and really tight so it didn’t really move

  18. Allison says

    March 28, 2014 at 8:20 am

This is so cool! I usually just either hold my phone when running which is annoying or put it my shorts band but that’s also annoying and it slips!

  24. Betsy says

    March 28, 2014 at 9:59 am

I’d prefer the armband. I haven’t found one yet that fits my arm. I’ve never tried a belt though, so I wouldn’t rule that out.

If I were to win, I would want the belt. I have worn running belts in the past and they are comfortable for me. However, I am worried how the arm band would feel.

I would want the arm band for sure. For years I used the case that came with my ipod to carry my music while working out. I really like having it within easy reach and I could wrap the extra cord from the headphones around it. Sadly my arm band broke and I couldn’t fix it.

Congratulations on your pregnancy, I’ve been reading your blog for awhile but I don’t usually comment. You look great! All three of my sister-in-laws are pregnant right now and due within 5 weeks of each other in April/May, so I can appreciate some of you’re going through being around them! The armband sounds awesome, thanks for giving the info on it!

If you’re planning a trip to Florida’s Forgotten C If you’re planning a trip to Florida’s Forgotten Coast, save this one. 🌊 #RentingTheCoastPartner

We stayed at Singing Waves in Cape San Blas, and it was everything we wanted in a beach getaway: beautiful views, plenty of space, and the kind of place that makes you slow down and actually enjoy vacation.

What really stood out, though, was Renting the Coast. They’re a locally owned, family run company that manages vacation homes throughout Cape San Blas, Port St. Joe, Mexico Beach, and the surrounding Forgotten Coast communities.

Instead of managing hundreds of properties, they intentionally keep their inventory smaller so they can provide a more personal experience for both guests and homeowners. They’re known for being accessible, responsive, and focused on making sure every stay goes smoothly.

If Cape San Blas has been on your travel list, Singing Waves is absolutely worth checking out, and so is Renting the Coast’s collection of homes along Florida’s most underrated stretch of coastline. ☀️

I didn’t realize how much mental space hair removal was taking up until it just… wasn’t anymore. Between games, trips, and everything in between, having something I can do at home in minutes has been a total game changer. The app-guided treatments keep me consistent without having to think about it, and I’m already noticing smoother skin that actually lasts. And yes — the full-body, 10-minute-at-home situation still feels a little unreal.

We didn’t set out looking for a “perfect” trip… we We didn’t set out looking for a “perfect” trip… we just needed a break from the noise.
What we found in Florida was something better than that. #ad

Our first stop in Auburndale was all about slowing down in the best way. We stayed in a cozy tiny home at Camp Margaritaville (you can also stay in an RV!). We enjoyed coffee on the porch, our daughter loved the pool and waterslide (there is even a splash zone for the littles!), and at night we slowed things down with s’mores instead of screens. It felt like nature + comfort + family time all finally in the same place. They have so many other amenities like mini golf, golf cart rentals, pickleball, a playground, cornhole, and more. Nearby, we explored the Florida Children’s Museum and had incredible food and drinks at Smith’s American Tavern and Black & Brew Coffee.

Then, we headed over to Fort Myers to experience a completely different side of the state. Shelling walks at sunrise, beach volleyball, pool cabanas, and the kind of Gulf sunsets that make everyone go quiet for a minute. Direct beach access at the Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers made it effortless to go from “let’s check it out” to toes in the sand in minutes. There were several restaurants on property, so we never even got in our car. That plus live music, fire pits, the spa, and lawn games made it easy to want to stay put and relax.

What stood out most wasn’t just the scenery… it was how easy it was to actually be together here. No rushing or overplanning. That’s the true Floridays feeling for me. Laid-back, a little unexpected, and exactly what we didn’t know we needed. 🌴☀️
