Tune Belt Review and Giveaway

A LONG time ago the gracious folks at Tune Belt sent me two belts to try, and they have been SO patient with me while I am just now getting around to writing my review/giveaway post!

Typically I really hate to run with anything in my hands, except for at runDisney races where I am constantly taking photos! But at other races, I much prefer to keep my phone in an armband or pouch of some sort. I have tried many different kinds over the years, and I really like what Tune Belt has to offer! First let’s look at on that goes around your waist:

(By the way they have cases for Apple, Motorola, Samsung, Nokia, and HTC phones). I have an Apple iPhone 4s, with a lifeproof case over it. Here is where one of my FAVORITE features comes in: YOU DON’T HAVE TO TAKE YOUR PHONE OUT OF IT’S CASE FOR IT TO FIT!

That was one thing I always HATED doing with other cases, always worried I would drop my phone while it was “naked” as I took it in or out of my belt/arm band. Never fear, depending on the size of your case, there are four different sizes of pockets. A cool thing about the belt is that it also has a Velcro pocket in the back behind the case for a car key, ID, etc.

I typically don’t like things around my waist, but for someone who doesn’t like armbands or who needs the extra pocket room, this is a great sturdy belt for your phone. Also being able to look down and see my screen was great for changing my music, etc.

Adjustable to fit waist sizes up to 38”-42″ depending on how tightly the neoprene belt is stretched; Extenders are available for larger waist sizes.

My favorite though is the sport armband they sent me, that is adjustable and can fit snuggly on my arm, while my phone is still iit’s case.  I can just pull my arm up to see what’s on the screen, and my headphones easily attach as well. This one is adjustable and fits 9″–17″ and an Armband Extender is available for larger arm sizes. Also, the cord flap securely stores and manages earphone cords.

I am ALWAYS looking for accessories where I do NOT have to take my phone out of its case!

  2. If I were to win, I’d like the try out the armband! I would hope it would allow me to stick my phone in with the Mophie charger on it still!

  3. I’ve had the same problem with armbands, and not being able to fit the phone in while in the case. That’s a great feature to make it roomy enough to hold the case too!

  4. Courtney says:

I would like to try the armband!

  5. I’d wear the belt.

  6. I am all about the arm band!

  7. I need a new armband. does it fit an iphone5?

  8. Tough decision.. I would like a belt, but at the same time, I’m nervous it wouldn’t stay around my waist so I guess I would choose the armband! This looks awesome though!

  9. Stacey Niedzwiecki says:

I love the fact that both do not require you to take your phone out of its case. It such a pain to take my phone out of my Otterbox every time I go running.

  10. I love that you don’t have to take your phone out of the case! I’d prefer to try out the belt, I’ve been getting annoyed with my current armband and I’m considering getting rid of it all together.

  11. Jennifer says:

  12. If I were to win, I’d prefer to get the belt. I’d love a belt that fit my phone… Since I’ve upgraded my phone, some of my belts no longer fit my phone.

  13. Kim Frey says:

I would like the waist band style

  14. I’d love the armband!

  15. That’s the same arm belt I wear and love it! I especially love that you don’t have to take it out of its protective case to fit in the pocket!

  16. I would like to try a waist belt!

  17. I think I would like to use the belt if I were to win. Question though… did it ride up or bounce around while you ran? I have a belt right now but it I never feel like it is secure and it very annoyingly bounces around when I have it on!

  18. This is so cool! I usually just either hold my phone when running which is annoying or put it my shorts band but that’s also annoying and it slips!

  19. Samantha says:

I would love to try the armband!!

  20. I’ve never tried a belt – so this would be my chance!

  21. I’ve always wanted to try a belt. Always game to try new stuff out.

  22. I’d prefer the armband. I haven’t found one yet that fits my arm. I’ve never tried a belt though, so I wouldn’t rule that out.

  23. I have only ever used armbands that I have become so used to them, but it is a pain to see your phone while running!

  24. I already use (and Love!) their arm band…I’d totally try the belt now…It is hard to see the screen when it’s on your arm.

  25. Heather H says:

I just got started with running outside and the arm band one would be perfect for me.

  26. I would love the arm band. I can’t stand belts!

  27. I am an arm band mind of gal! Neat product!!

  28. Nice. Always love the reviews to see new gear.

  29. I would LOVE an armband where I can leave my phone in its case!

  30. Laurel C says:

    Probably the belt!

  31. Krysten Moore says:

    I think the armband

  32. Probably the belt but really either is nice!

  33. Kaitlin C says:

I’m new to running and I’ve been researching belts. This Tune Belt looks great and I’d love to try it!

  34. I would love to find a new armband. The one I currently use requires that I take my phone out of my case, and like you, I’m always afraid that its going to lead to my phone being dropped and/or broken.

  35. I usually wear a belt, but I’d like to try the armband.

  36. Belt please

  37. Charissa Wynn says:

If I were to win, I would want the belt. I have worn running belts in the past and they are comfortable for me. However, I am worried how the arm band would feel.

  38. Jessica Barringer says:

Yay! Thank you! Now I won’t drop my phone all the time!

(That’s what I would say if I won).

  39. Allison Dailey says:

I would love to try the belt!

  40. I would love to try the armband!

  41. I prefer the belt, nothing on my arms or in my hands.

  42. I would try the armband if i won since i already wear a spibelt but it doesnt fit my phone.

  43. BreannaS says:

I would want the arm band for sure. For years I used the case that came with my ipod to carry my music while working out. I really like having it within easy reach and I could wrap the extra cord from the headphones around it. Sadly my arm band broke and I couldn’t fix it.

  44. I prefer the armband!

  45. The belt!!!

  46. I would give it to my husband. He is in desperate need of a new armband/belt for his iPod.

  47. I usually use an armband but wouldn’t mind trying the belt!

  48. Always looking for a easy way to hold my phone. I haven’t been successful with armbands in the past (probably because my phone is so big!) Would love to win! 🙂

  49. I would try the belt. Arm bands just don’t work for me.

  50. I’d pick the belt! Also LOVE that you don’t have to take your phone out of its case to fit – that’s my big worry too 🙂

  51. Sanny Kim says:

I would definitely try the armband

  52. Ashley Zinchuk says:

    Hi Heather!

Congratulations on your pregnancy, I’ve been reading your blog for awhile but I don’t usually comment. You look great! All three of my sister-in-laws are pregnant right now and due within 5 weeks of each other in April/May, so I can appreciate some of you’re going through being around them! The armband sounds awesome, thanks for giving the info on it!

  53. Valerie Martin says:
