A Quick and Delicious Start

April 28, 2014 | Ad-free, blogging, food, health, tips

I have partnered with belVita and Dannon to help promote the belVita and Dannon partnership. I have been compensated for my time commitment to the program, which includes writing about the promotion and product. However, my opinions are entirely my own, and I have not been paid to publish positive comments.

I will admit, I am not a big breakfast eater. This goes back to my elementary school days, and I am just typically never that hungry in the mornings. This has come back to haunt me in my pregnancy, so I am having to be careful to make sure I get a full and nutritious breakfast in the mornings not only for my health but for the health of my baby. I don’t like to spend a lot of time preparing something most days, and prefer to get straight to work at my laptop. When I heard about the partnership with Dannon and belVita, and their quick and convenient breakfast partnership, I was excited to try this #MorningWin for myself. no cooking involved, just grabbing a quick but filling breakfast is right up my alley.

The yogurt contains 12 grams of protein (twice as much as regular non fat yogurt), and the belVita crunchy biscuits give me continuous energy to power me through until lunch time. (Everything tastes great, too!) I will try any flavor of Greek yogurt, but I went with my standby of strawberry this time. As far as the belVita goes, I bought golden oat and cinnamon brown sugar, and the honey oat is my favorite! Other belVita flavors are apple cinnamon, chocolate, and blueberry. Each package of biscuits is individually wrapped with 4 biscuits, so they are easy to throw in your purse along with your yogurt to eat on the go if necessary.

For someone busy in the mornings, it can help to have a plan for how to get the most out of your time when you wake up. Check out these tips:

Tips to get the most out of your morning:

-Prepare as much as you can the night before, you will thank yourself in the morning!

-Plan your to do list a day early. Again, less to do the next day!

-Start your morning with a yummy, balanced breakfast. This will help ensure that you have the stamina to get your to do list done, and have a productive day!

I love Belvita! The customer service is good too. I bought a box once and two of the packages I opened were overcooked and tasted burned. I wrote to them and they sent me a coupon for a free box! I like to dip them in almond milk.

I love breakfast. My mom knew if I didn’t eat breakfast I was sick. Right now I’m getting Kashi cereal for the protein, then something like an English muffin or other muffins to provide some extra carbs for the meal.

I love greek yogurt. I try and do something for breakfast everyday, even though I’m not a big breakfast eater either. My go-to breakfast is usually a protein bar or a smoothie using my nutri-bullet loaded with fruits and veggies and protein powder.

So many people I know follow and like posts and st So many people I know follow and like posts and stories from content creators, but when it’s people they know in real life….forget about it. All of the sudden, we just don’t need or deserve the support. We just get lurkers. 💔

Women, I encourage you in 2026 to find a table where women champion other women. And I encourage all the ladies here to be a girl’s girl. There is room for everyone, and we ALL need a little support, even those that look like they have it all together.

Let’s commit to helping each other on AND offline. A simple smile, an “I love your dress” or “your kid did great in the school play” or “hang in there, you got this!” Goes a long way.

I will never understand people going out of their way to intentionally bypass a person online or in real life. People matter. It’s a tough time of year for a lot of people, so let’s all act like the friends we claim to be and be there for each other however we can. ❤️

This one is great for busy folks who want to make a “special” drink without too much fuss. 🎄

It’s literally just water frozen in the bottom of a glass with some rosemary taped in it. I waited a few hours the poured in some Prosecco and added in edible glitter (you can use multiple colors!) pretty and delicious, and keeps your drink cold! Cheers! 🥂 ❄️

The end of the year is always a time that I reflec The end of the year is always a time that I reflect on how things went, what I want to do different or better in the new year, and to be honest…I’m always really hard on myself.😕

I often end up sad or frustrated that things didn’t “turn out as planned.” But planned according to who? Success according to what?

As we were ice skating last weekend at Gaylord Opryland, laughing and just having so much fun as a family, I was hit with what I can only describe as a warm fuzzy. I wanted to smile and cry all at the same time. I thought to myself….this is it right here. 🥹

If nothing else good happens, I’ve got this and am so rich because of it. These moments. This is what I always prayed for as a girl when imagining my family one day. And it’s here, happening right now. I don’t want to wish it away waiting for the next big thing to happen.

I just want to ice skate with them in a place that makes us so happy. Wha a year. ⛸️ ❤️

It’s still Thanksgiving weekend so this counts as It’s still Thanksgiving weekend so this counts as a Thanksgiving post, right? 🦃🫶🏻

I took the day off on Thursday and then worked a ton Friday, EK had bball Saturday and then we went out of town. I realized I never posted for turkey day! 😜

I have so much to be thankful for, most days I feel completely undeserving. God has been good to us, even in the days that don’t feel so good. His plans may not make sense at the time, but thankfully He is the one that sees the whole picture, not us!

We are going into the Christmas season with hearts full of gratitude and love as we celebrate the birth of Jesus. This is the most special and my favorite time of year! Let the celebrating continue!

Lastly, I am thankful for all of YOU! For liking, commenting on, and watching my content over the years. Without you, my career doesn’t exist and I am beyond thankful for the opportunities this job has given me. So THANK YOU! 🫶🏻
