This post is dedicated to Crystal River Rapids at @gaylordpalms. A whole post for one attraction? Yup. It’s that good. (A D) 💦

Think of it as a lazy river on steroids. The currents propel you along (life jackets provided!) and you can go around as many times as you want! There’s waterfalls and hot tubs too, we had SO much fun!

You can also rent premium pool seating all around the rapids, including the glorious daybeds like the one we had (swipe to see!) It was heavenly and so nice to not have to rush down to the pool in the mornings to get a good spot! Seriously one of my favorite Gaylord perks.

Photo 7 (swipe) is actually a time lapse video of me going all the way around! Emma Kate has talked about it several times and we can’t wait to go back!

Something made me a little sad the day we were at

Something made me a little sad the day we were at Magic Kingdom last week. 😕

I changed into this shirt mid day, and as I looked into the mirror at my reflection and read the words back to myself, I definitely felt a twinge of sad.

You see, the first line of my shirt says “fireworks” in a list of “Disney life” things I love. However, there were no fireworks that day of course. I debated not wearing the shirt because I felt a little silly, but decided to keep it on in the hopes of what could be coming soon.

Much to my surprise, yesterday it was announced that fireworks are BACK at the beginning of July! 🎆 It seemed fitting that I post a picture of this shirt today, right? Maybe my wish upon a star that day helped a little to bring the magic back to the sky? That’s what I’m telling myself at least! 💫

Now to plan a trip back so that I can see them…

We are finally home! I feel like we were gone a mo

We are finally home! I feel like we were gone a month! We had a blast but it felt so good to sleep in my own bed last night. (A D)

Speaking of beds, one of the hotels we stayed at, @homewoodorlando, was a great pick! It has a free hot breakfast, a nice pool area, shuttles to some theme parks, and it’s only about 10 minutes from @disneysprings!

We stayed there the night before we went to Magic Kingdom, and it did not take us long at all to get there in our car. If you are looking for something close to the theme parks without paying theme park hotel, you definitely need to check them out!

They have regular rooms and suites, and our suite even had a kitchen. Check out my IG story highlight “Orlando June21” for more pics and videos, and our room tour is on my IGTV!

Pensacola, you were so good to us!🏖

We stayed at the @hiltonpensacolabeach for the first time ever and yall, I was super impressed! We had a BEAUTIFUL two bedroom suite on the 8th floor (check out my room tour video on IGTV) and had the best time!

Swipe through to see food from the pool bar and from @h2ogrill, our beach set up courtesy of @lazydaysbeachservice (and to show you how little we had to walk to get to the beach!) and our gorgeous view.

We were there for three nights and never even left the hotel! There is so much to do and so many places to eat it just wasn’t necessary.

I will be writing a blog post soon but just wanted to share how much we truly enjoyed the hotel and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Let me know if you have any questions and I would be happy to answer for you.

Most of my happy thoughts involve my happy place. A place where I never have to grow up. Where it’s commonplace to wear mouse ears and take castle selfies. Where I can skip down Main Street with my daughter.

I may have only gotten to spend one day in Disney World this trip, but we packed as much fun into that day as possible. We were at the park for 12 hours and rode #AllTheRides. You can watch my stories (Orlando June 21 highlight) to see exactly what we did, and what ride @bobbymontg fell asleep on. 😂

Really though, we had an amazing time at OWA and were so sad to leave! We packed a lot into two days, so if you missed any be sure to check out my OWA highlight! (A D)

I added a few highlights to this post (swipe to see!) we had great meals at El Diablo, the Groovy Goat, and Trattoria, we had fun at the pool and staying at @tpsowa, Emma Kate had a BLAST with @gravityislandwatersports, we laughed at the Christian comedy fest and the @brandonstylesshow, played at the Park, and played video games at @clashesportsowa! (Whew!)

There is always something new going on there, so be sure to check out their calendar of events. Also, we can’t WAIT for the indoor waterpark to open next year! 🙌🏻
