Whew! Not being connected to the internet for nearly four days except via smartphone is tough when you work from home for a living! I am officially back, and hopefully now with no glitches. The last few days have been a whirlwind, and while I have a lot of work to catch up on, it was nice to have the weekend to unpack and spend some time with Bobby at the place we are staying at temporarily.

It’s on the lake, and we have really been enjoying it so far, as have the girls. Bobby has caught several fish, and Bella has a new love for riding in the kayak. She was terrified at first, but now she cried to get in it!

She barks for Bobby to catch fish, and when he does she freaks out and won’t get too close. Strange dog. Sassy is enjoying sitting outside watching us, but she could care less about fishing or getting in the kayak.

Sunday we went back to our old church, and it was SO GREAT to be back “home”. I think I smiled for two hours straight, all through Sunday school and the service.

Yesterday I went on a 2 mile run, my first one here, and it was nice to have a change of scenery. It felt good to sweat, but I am still having issues with round ligament pain so I don’t know how long my running will last. I was going to try the support belt today but since I haven’t run in over a week, thought I would try “just one more time” without it to see if I could, aaannddd, it’s painful, so, definitely going with the belt for my next run.

Tomorrow I will have my weekly pregnancy update on the blog, and then will hopefully be in the swing of things here. Thanks for hanging with me as we transition!

QOTD: What do you do when you don’t have the internet? Do you ever purposefully unplug?

**I updated my pregnancy page on the blog so now you can directly click on each weekly update, etc. without having to scroll through all the pregnancy posts. Check it out!

Big Changes (Again)

Ok guys, so it has been admittedly a bit insane over here this past week. There are still some logistics to work out so I won’t go into the whole long story just yet, but…we are finally moving!

from last time we moved in 2011. Oh, the boxes!

Yall, we have been here over three years, and it is three years too long. We realized quickly after moving this just wasn’t the place for us, but unfortunately is has taken all this time to work everything out, and there are STILL some kinks we are dealing with. However, the bottom line is we are moving back to Madison, MS (north of Jackson) TODAY!

It happened so fast after so long of NOTHING happening, and I have been slightly overwhelmed this week to say the least (packing, packing and more packing), but we are getting it done. I am quickly reaching my pregnant lady limits though and can’t do near as much lifting and packing as non pregnant Heather can do, and it has gotten me frustrated a few times.

Even though we don’t have it all figured out yet, I am ecstatic to be moving back to a town I love, and a church we miss so, so much and totally took for granted when we were living there before moving down here. I promise I will share more as things unfold. I will try to keep the blog posts coming on weekdays as I have been, but please understand if I miss a couple days here and there, as we try to unpack and settle in to a new normal. I will of course be posting pictures on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter even on the weekends when I am not blogging.

We are so excited, please pray for us as we embark on a new adventure! Things have not exactly turned out as we planned, but even when we thought we couldn’t handle any more, God has always provided for us and we are so thankful!

QOTD: Have you ever moved on short notice before?

From the Bottom to the Top

Goooodddd morning friends! Being able to work out the past few days (upper body and bike only) has REALLY put me in a better mood. Those that say they don’t workout because they don’t want to have their energy zapped…PEOPLE, it’s the exact opposite. You will have so much more energy, it’s awesome. Anyway, I was doing some research last night and found an article talking about the ten healthiest cities for women. I knew that mine would not be on there, but I did want to share them with you:

1. Greenest: Des Moines, IA

2. Healthiest overall: Cambridge, Mass.

3. Healthiest eaters: Santa Barbara, Calif.

4. Safest: San Jose, Calif.

5. Happiest: Raleigh, N.C.

6. Longest lives: Honolulu, Hawaii

7. Most active: Denver, Colo.

8. Healthiest love lives: Seattle, Wash.

9. Best breasts: Bethesda, Md. Get your mine out of the gutter! This is in terms of health/mammograms, etc.

10. Best skin: Miami, Fla.

If you agree, disagree, live in one of these areas, I would love your input. This brings me to my next point…sadly, not only is my city on here, but my state, Mississippi, is regularly the most overweight in the country. Check out this article  about one woman who is trying to change that. I wish there were more people like that! I would LOVE to be a part of a movement to get the gulf coast more healthy. I have no idea how to even START. If anyone has any experience or ideas, throw them my way! Unfortunately money doesn’t grow on trees down here on the coast, so it would have to be something with little to no overhead. Any ideas or suggestions? Help a sister out so we can get Mississippi off the bottom of that list and into the top ten!

In other totally random news, I FINALLY, I’m talking seven months overdo got a haircut yesterday. I got bangs and some layers and I really like how it came out!

Luckily I have a ton of headbands because I think the bangs are going to drive me ca-RAY-zy. But it’s so nice to have a nice little change right before the holidays and new year. I am keeping up with my upper body weights and riding the stationary bike. hopefully only 6 days to go!

QOTD: Any ideas for helping my community get on the right track with health and fitness?
